Feedback

Feedback from First Screening

These two sheets are the sheets that we received from our first screening to the rest of the class. Two other groups filled these out and gave us some constructive criticism. We felt as if this was very beneficial and necessary because they were the demographic that we were trying to appeal to and getting possibly improvements would give us an indication as to what would make our product better. We did receive good feedback and we made the recommended changes in order to get more people to be appealed to our product. Some of the feedback included:

Emphasise the narrative more- This was due to there being a clear lack of narrative and we tried to improve this by adding more scenes of Jack growing and developing as both a footballer and a person.

Font - Both the colour and type of fonts needed to be changed. The colour needed to be changed because in some scenes it clashed and therefore it would make it harder for the audience to read what was said. The type of font also needed changing because we had selected our main font, Jersey M54, but we did not use it throughout all of the credits and the feedback stated that we should use it for all of them.

More football shots - As this was a sport film, it was suggested that we needed to add more football shots to establish the genre further and we took this on board and did this by including some shots of younger Jack and older Jack doing some kick ups.

First Draft/Screening

First Screening

This is the video in which is our first draft for our title sequence, The Journey. We showed this to the rest of the class and received constructive criticism. However, it is not our finished title sequence and this is evident due to their only being thirty seconds worth of footage. Our main focus was on the soundtrack as we found that the hardest thing to find and we wanted to make sure that the feedback was positive with regards to the soundtrack.

Feedback

On Wednesday 22nd, we showed our title sequence to the rest of the students in the class as well as Miss McGrath and Meredith. Each group filled out a feedback sheet and this included; things we needed to improve on, things they liked and things that were good but needed to be developed further. People said they liked the soundtrack and thought it went well with the video and the contents. However, people said they did not have a clear clue on what the narrative was and that we needed to make it clearer. As a result of this we plan to include more shots that show the transition between younger Jack and older Jack.
